I haven't seen any differences in camera performance between NINA and Sharpcap with my ZWO585. do you see a difference in the images between the ASCOM and the local driver? Have you tested this in NINA?

Read noise is insignificant so there's no reason not to shoot deep sky at zero gain. That's excellent performance.

Did you install also the latest Touptek ASCOM? Hi Seba, doesn't the chart show pretty ideal performance for HDR mode on the native driver? It would seem playing around with ASCOM is no longer necessary.

It would seem playing around with ASCOM is no longer necessary. It does but my understanding is that when you update the ASCOM driver it does update also the ASCOM file in NINA and Sharpcap so results (in Sharpcap) of the sensor analysis are correct. But I may be wrong. Not an expert here.

After looking through the topic I have seen a very large amount of Sharpcap graphs, but did anyone actually make any pictures with the Touptek Camera and tried out the various modes? Like for example different exposures and gain settings with HDR and HCG mode and compare if stars are overexposed or can someone show a histogram?

I have perused this thread and will offer this comment which, I hope, captures much of what is said comparing a Starvis vs Starvis 2 sensor camera.
The technology of Starvis 2 is superior for astronomy imaging for the following reasons:
1: Sensitivity of the sensor in red and near infrared wavelengths is enhanced. 2: Color sensor readout of movement has less distortion. (Wind vibrations, stepper motor vibrations, etc.) 3: Full well pixel capacity is larger. Thus, response without saturation is wider.
The comment about larger Starvis 2 sensors being needed is certainly of merit. Will that happen soon, I do not know.
IMX533 and IMX571 are Starvis not Starvis 2 sensors.
