Greetings from Big Sky Country!

A little background…
I was employed the last 28 years of my work life in Federal Service and was looking forward to an upcoming, well deserved retirement, doing some traveling with my wife and enjoying my interest in restoring classic cars. Unfortunately a few years ago, I was diagnosed with a severe lung disease and after multiple bouts of respiratory failure, it left me with less than 30 percent of my lung function. Having problems with hypoxia and hypercapnia, it put an end to my career, along with most of my interests.
Having been a active  person all my life, I needed something to occupy my time and my mind. After spending much time considering what to do and with a lifelong interest in the cosmos, I decided that astronomy was something I should try. I started with a 10"  GoTo Dob on a wheeled platform. Loved the hobby until I started having problems with my vision from the meds I take and even with a bino viewer, it became difficult.
Enter Astrophotography… The ability to work on a large screen and living under Bortle 2 skies, it was perfect! I am about 3 years into astro imaging now and still have a long way to go and much to learn on this journey. There are days that my abilities aren't the greatest and it takes multiple tries to get images the way I would like, but it is something that I have really enjoyed. There is always something new to see, to learn and to pursue!

Clear Skies Everyone!

Welcome to Astrobin! Very nice image of Abell 6 and HHG-1! I have nearly an identical image of yours😊

Thanks for the welcome Andrea!

Thanks Dale! I took a look at your image. Well done!
I still need to get some RGB stars, if the weather would just cooperate…
I also liked HFG 1 in this orientation, it frames better IMHO.

Ah yes, I see you are in Roundup.  Better Bortle, same weather.   Its been tough getting images this winter.  Hopefully no bad fire season.   Thanks for the comment!  Looks like you are off to a great start with yours as well!
