Sorry! I have just adorned three trees in my garden with Christmas lights.

I hope you don't mind and I have them controlled by Alexa to turn off by 11pm.

Merry Christmas all!

In all seriousness, my wife and I strung up some LED lights the other night on a tree in our backyard next to where I usually image. I forgot to turn it off when I started imaging later, and there was ZERO difference in the subs (was using an Optolong L-Pro filter) when I finally remembered to turn it off half-way through the night. Maybe I was lucky? smile

i’ve noticed the same thing Mark. My wife likes white led lights on out backyard fence.
of course, I fought the idea.
At first, I would shut them off when imaging and naturally would forget to turn them back on for a few days.
I forgot to turn them off during imaging one night and it made no difference in the sub adu. So, I just leave them on!
Of course, my backyard is no dark site at Bortle 7 anyway!

I also have to apologize for all the rain in the Mid-Atlantic states next week.  My RASA 8 is arriving Monday.

I like to believe that clouds are a living thing and the clouds keeping me from imaging right now (Minnesota) will now travel down to where you live due to the new RASA, so I will actually thank you! haha

I of course am kidding and will likely have bad skies for the next month :'(

Lol, we put lights out already as well but ours are in the front yard so no problem in the back yard. Thankfully the only thing our neighbors do is have their searchlights on every corner.

That's actually the situation I have here.  No-one else in my street is into astrophotography and they all have very bright security lights.  Thankfully,  neither my Christmas lights nor their security lights have any impact on my imaging in my back garden.  The biggest issue I face is if my next door neighbour leaves his bedroom lights on, however he seems to be going to bed earlier nowadays so no problem now.

As long as they don't get suspicious about a big scope with an open window, lol! It's one reason why I've been focusing on dual band capture lately. So much easier right now.

Burry an eyepiece upside down. IDK if will help, but it will make your RASA feel better!

OK, I also added these based on my wife's request.  I don't think they will impact anyone:
