Hello World.

I have been at this hobby now for about 10 years.

Started out  mostly messing about with Webcams on Planetary using a Mak.  Then graduated onto a DSLR (which i modded for Ha) and using a ED. (Was using a Skywatcher EQ5 and 80ED) I milked these type of setups for about 3 to 4 years then my passion died off.
The move up to narrowband and a dedicated cooled mono camera, was just to expensive. 

Then when Covid started, I saw a new and interesting company called ZWO. 
The price points for the camera and the resolution just made sense to me, so i decided to jump back in. (yaay)

This is where i have landed on my new gear. (comments welcome please)
iOptron GEM45 - 20kg at 7arcsecond error peak to peak.
Altair Astro Pier 
TS Photon 150 F4 (Newtonian)
TS Coma Corrector (Reduces to F3.6)
Optolong L-Pro (Bortle 7 Skies)
ASI294MM Pro
ASI Mini Wheel with Filters (RGBHaOii 31mm)
ASI EAF

In terms of acquisition i run Indi Ekos on a Ubuntu Nuc on the mount.
The whole mount is powered through a 100w 12v power supply. (So it is portable)

Also modded the mount head with a customised integrated guider.
30mm F4 with ASI174m mini - I get about 1 to 0.75 RMS on both axis
Mount is capable of 0.25 on both axis with a encoder. (just to expensive)

Processing is on 12 Core AMD @4.7ghz and 16GB DDR4 @3600mhz and Radeon 5700XT. 
Lastly and most importantly i have a 1TB nvme which has read write at 3.5gb/s.

This makes processing up to 8k images a breeze, using APP and Photoshop.
(Nope still not ready to move to Pixinsight ... sigh)

Thank you for the complement.

At the moment, my favorite targets are those with high amounts of HA.

​​So mostly nebula.

Merci,

It is possible now to purchase the mount with an i guider, but i wanted to save some money, so i put the lens of my old skywatcher 30mm finder into it and then added a mono guide camera from ASI, which is far more sensitive.

To get focus, i need to screw the lens in or out, but not so much of a issue as i have put a lock screw in place so it hardly needs adjusting​​​​​
​​​​​​i  am thinking of adding a barlow to improve my RMS on guiding.

Nice, TS is top shelf.

Only thing is a fast newt is tricky to collaminate , very sensitive. 

​​​​​​TS also have a 0.7 coma corrector, which would reduce scope to F2.8 , but it is expensive and i am already on edge of my ability at 3.6. 

Filters become problematic if you go fast.

Anyway this tricky stuff aside, being able to produce an awesome image in 1 to 2 hrs of data make it, worth it.

Very nice setup!
I would definitely recommend to dive into Pixinsight!

One day, when i want to move to next level, i always been longing for it.

However, APP and Photoshop with some actions and plugins are a simple solution that work for me.

APP - Stacking and RGB align is spot on, it just works.  For gradient and deconvolute all works well ... the stretching works really well.

Photoshop - noise reduction, selective sharpening, luminace boost, seperate stars, reduce stars, touch ups, framing cropping etc.

For me it is more art than science, but i know that pixinsight is a right of passage to graduate.
