I'm not much of a computer guy, so maybe it's not even QE, but when I'm zoomed out on an image in PI it looks like posturization error. Zooming in and this goes away and details display nicely, but it's super annoying because I cant work on an image with a full view of the frame. I tried a couple monitor display settings, but that didnt change it. Is there a setting somewhere in PI or somewhere else "in the computer" that I can make this better? Thanks, |

try turning on 24-bit LUTs for this image… that might solve it. in the global settings you can also just tell PI to use 24b LUTs for all images.

Don’t forget to turn it on as default so you don’t have to keep clicking that.

Ooh I didn't realize you could default to have it always on. Where in the global settings is that?

Edit menu — Preferences — Miscellaneous Image Window… “use 24 bit…” Awesome thank you! I wish preview windows used 24-bit preview as well... maybe in a future update. CS!
