Che vantaggi avrei usando un filtro Uv/Ir cut? Io ho un Optolong UV/IR Cut, ma non l'ho mai usato... So che può impedire la messa a fuoco scorretta nella banda dell'infrarosso, ma sto usando quasi sempre un filtro antinquinamento luminoso (Antlia Quad Band 2"), perchè riprendo dalla città, il mio Bortle è di 7/8, non saprei come usarlo per avere dei vantaggi.. Queste le curve dei due filtri...  |

.. Intendevo se avrei dei vantaggi su certe riprese, sovrapponendo l’uv/ir cut al quad band? Anche se penso non sia il massimo per il passaggio di segnale, sovrapporre due filtri..

Non c'e' granche segnale nell'UV in ogni caso (a quote "domestiche") e l'IR puo' migliorrare il rapporto S/R per alcuni soggetti. Separando l'aquisizione del campo stellare da quello degli oggetti distribuiti allora usare l'UV/IR ha qualche vantaggio ed evita di troversi in difficolta' con alcune classi stellari ricche in emissioni fuori dal visibile.

There's no point in using the UV/IR cut with the quad band because the quad band already blocks the wavelengths that the UV/IR does. In general, if you use a refractor a UV/IR cut filter will block but UV and IR wavelengths that can cause problems, even with highly color corrected optics. It also helps to get more accurate color with most sensors. The drawback is that you are loosing a lot of photons from broadband targets like Galaxies where a lot of the energy is beyond 700nm.

Eccetto che il Quad-band della Antlia trasmette sia nell'infrarosso vicino che nell'UV atmospherico. Come dice il nome: 4 bande.

Ciao Luigi. Se hai una camera a colori, generalmente il vetro di protezione e' gia' un filtro UV/UR, quindi sarebbe una duplicazione.
Come gia' detto da Andrea e Tony, se usi un filtro Antipollution o multibanda, questi gia' selezionano le bande per cui non serve un filtro UV/IR.
UV/IR puo' invece essere raccomandabile se la tua camera e' a colori e monta solo un vetro antriflesso (cosa non comune), e non usi altri filtri; questo specialmente se hai ottiche che non correggono totalmente la aberrazione cromatica. Per le camere monocromatiche, il filtro luminance e' di fatto un filtro UV/IR che puo' essere scelto con larghezze di banda diverse, a seconda della qualita' della ottica.
