I started my astrophotography hobby in October 2023, just one 1 day before my first daughter was born. That, combined with 7 months of clouds and rain, basically set back my hobby by one year, but it just made me more eager to get out there and start imaging.
I started out with a C8, an AVX mount (I know, not optimal, but it made sense to me then and still does), and a non-astromodified Nikon DSLR. I was far from content with these images, but learned a lot and had a lot of fun.
By now I have the filters, the camera, the guiding, the experience, the time and the weather to finally produce images that I like, which is why I only now made an account. Also, the addition of a Zenithstar 73 made getting quality images on an AVX much easier (as everyone says, I know

I hope you enjoy my first upload: an image of the Rosette Nebula. Still a lot to improve on, but also a lot to be happy about.
