Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure the proper functioning of the observatory roofs every morning and evening,
- Maintain a wide variety of telescopes and their peripherals, such as mounts, cameras, focusers, filter wheels, etc.,
- Configure and troubleshoot software, PC, and network-related issues,
- Diagnose technical problems and carry out necessary repairs,
- Collaborate online with company managers,
- Respond to customer intervention requests via a dedicated application,
- Keep maintenance and service records for telescopes and related equipment up to date.
Job Requirements:
- Hands-on experience in telescope maintenance and repair,
- In-depth knowledge of astrophotography software (NINA, MaximDL, SGP, and others),
- Advanced knowledge of IT and networking,
- Basic knowledge of automation and electricity,
- Strong understanding of practical astronomy and optics fundamentals,
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with the on-site team,
- Ability to communicate in English; basic Spanish or French skills are appreciated,
- Capability to live in an isolated environment in the pre-Andean mountains, one hour from the nearest valley.
