I have been using (and adjusting) to the 'New View' format - many nice features. But one thing I couldn't find was the ability on another user's 'New View' gallery to switch back to this user's Classic View gallery. I can see when I am on an 'New View' image page for this user, I can choose classic view for the image. But I have not found a way to see that user's gallery without going to my preferences and changing back to 'classic view' for gallery experience. This involves quite a few additional clicks - kind of a pain in the neck. I mention this because I like to see if that user and I are mutual followers. (But there could be a number of other reasons one would want to switch to classic view from a 'New View' gallery.) The classic gallery shows a mutual follower clearly but the 'New View' gallery does not. I know I can go to my gallery view and search my mutual followers for that user, but that involves clicks and keystrokes. I also see on 'New View' that we can list that user's followers, but we cannot list who the user is following (as we could in classic view). I assume that change is made for privacy purposes?? Putting a classic view option for that user's gallery would allow one to see who that user is following via the classic view (perhaps the 'New View' intention was indeed to limit this ability). If so, the listing of a user's followers should be removed from classic view as well, and create a gallery option to switch to classic view gallery. Or better yet would be to put both a classic view option on the 'New View' gallery AND a 'Mutual Follower' indication on the 'New View' gallery. Jim - |
