Is the image shown processed in any way, say by unsharp-mask (it looks that way)? Because if it is than it is just the processing at fault, not your telescope.

I don't think the ring has anything to do with collimation but a lot more with the acquisition process, typically the focusing may not be accurate enough. Try to image the Moon and we should be a much firmer ground there (Venus is notoriously a tricky subject to get right).
