I've been sporadically taking pictures through scopes since, especially since moving to nice Bortle 4ish skies in Suffolk, UK. It's only recently that my images have moved slightly above the most basic level.
I like to DIY as much as possible, and strictly use Linux and the fantastic Kstars/Ekos which I think is severely underrated. Each rig runs a custom rpi5 with a bunch of 3d printed parts (DIY flip flats, focuser). I'm firmly at the budget end of the market and hate having to pay my way out of a problem or use a walled garden.
Here are two of my current rigs. The pier with power and networking helps setup, but at some point I'll consider building an observatory but it's hard to find a suitable location.
Also love flying gliders (sailplanes), travel, making/3d printing and "managing" my rural garden. The best thing about AP is that I'm always at the bottom of the learning curve.
