Himanshu Pandey: I'm able to round up the clouds around here and deport them on my own accord faster than anyone can blink.
This is why it is cloudy where you live. 00000hhhhhh!

Sending your scope to Chile definitely gets rid of most of the clouds.

Dark Matters Astrophotography: Sending your scope to Chile definitely gets rid of most of the clouds. True. It's also why I don't have a car in Chile!

I also do not recommend painting the outside of your house. It seems to want to rain the next day if you do that. Installing Sod isn’t a bad idea though. Since you want it to rain after that, it won’t!

Brian Diaz: and when good night comes the moon is there jejejeje to add to this: When the clear night comes, and the moon is not there, the seeing is bad; and if the seeing is good, then a dust mote is uncorrected after using flats; and if the flats work out okay, the Pixinsight application crashes during stacking, and if the stacking came out okay, and you process it, YOU END UP WITH 10 LIKES ON YOUR IMAGE, HAHAHA. (exaggerating that last part, of course; depends on how good you are at processing)

AmyWarble: It’s been overcast here for almost three weeks, and I’m starting to feel like I’ve forgotten what stars even look like.
I’ve tried shaking a fist at the sky, yelling dramatic Shakespearean curses, even threatening legal action against the clouds. Not only have the clouds ignored me, I think they're getting bolder. Yesterday one shaped itself like a smug little cumulus and just hovered there, blocking the only patch of sky that dared clear up.
So, fellow astrophotography nerds, I have to ask:
What superstitions or rituals do you have that will make the clouds cooperate and stop being jerks? Astrophoto processing tutorials and new gear unboxing videos on YouTube - definitely NOT as exciting as goats or dancing naked - but it seems to work.

What usually works for me is not buying new astro gear. Because as soon as I do that and in need to try them out then clouds start to show up from the horizon and quickly cover the sky the whole night
