Since my early days here on Astrobin, Mike has always motivated me with his appreciative comments!
He was a good friend to me on Astrobin and a great astrophotographer!

This is sad news. Michael was one of the first to welcome me to AstroBin. He always had a positive comment on my images and provided me with much needed guidance and suggestions to help me improve my skills. I always enjoyed reading his descriptions of his images and enjoyed the beauty and detail in the images he shared with us. He set the example of excellence I have been trying to achieve. He was a master of his craft and I will miss him sorely. My heart goes out to his family and friends. AD ASTRA, Michael!!

I'm shocked and will miss you very much, dear Mike.
Even though you were miles away from me, we were like best friends for years via the internet, connected with just a click of a mouse.
People like you have made this community great and forged a bond of connection and appreciation around the world.
You were one of the first here to support me and give me a sense of belonging.
You were the best example for the people in this world who explore the cosmos with great curiosity and thirst for knowledge, embarking on journeys of discovery to uncover the secrets of the universe.

I was fortunate to have interacted with Mike frequently. I was an inspiration for my image processing and clearly a gentle, good person. I will miss him greatly.

I was so very sad to hear this news.
Mike was such an important pillar of the Astrobin community–an expert imager, but also so generous with his kind words and encouragement to all of us, including many of us when we were first embarking on the hobby. I know so many of us here will miss him and his many contributions.

I'm so sorry to hear about Michael, Monica.
I met Michael at Starizona about 5 years ago. He told me about his cancer about a year ago, over the phone.
Michael was a great guy, we had many discussions over the phone, not only about Astrophotography, but other topics..
Monica, my prayers are with you and your family, I think Michael mentioned that you have two Sons.
If you need to talk I'm glad to.
Peace be with you, and I know Michael is in the Kingdom of Heaven.🙏

I am saddened to learn of Mike's passing. He was always quick to offer encouragement and suggestions. His willingness to engage resulted in many long conversational threads. I know he had these exchanges with many in the community. My condolences to Mike's wife and family. I will miss him deeply.

In this astrophotography community that I find to be a welcome respite from the general negativity of the internet, @Michael Feigenbaum was a pinnacle of positivity.
