Salve a tutti, possiedo un atik 383l + con un Rc gso 12, vorrei capire come mai non posso regolare il gain su vari software di acquisizione, ad esempio apt Astrograph

Servus, i dont understand italian, but the gain setting for this camera is fixed. Regolare non possibile. System Gain is 0.419 e-/ADU.

You have to do as much exposure as possible anyway. This is a rule of nature. Using gain settings, you might influence readout noise, but dark noise and photon noise will still occur. About binning i dont know, i dont have experience with binning at this camera. Using a CMOS, i always regretted hardware binning.

L'Atik 383L+ ha un convertitore analogico digitale a 16 bit. Con la profondita' dell'ADC non e' necessario cambiare il guadagno dello stadio a monte della conversione: il range dinamico del sensore e' minore della bit depth del ADC. Con le camere CMOS la situazione e' in genere l'opposto: ADC bit depth e' 12 bit e il range dinamico del sensore e' piu' grande. La possibilita' di scegliere il guadagno permette di usare i 12 bit del ADC in maniera ottima per l'oggetto che si sta fotografando (RGB vs narrowband).

Esatto. Esponi fino a che vedi saturazione eccessiva nelle stelle o quanto la montatura permette. Per narrowband, di solito uso 15 o 20 minuti e per LRGB tra 1 e 5 minuti a seconda di quanto inquinamento luminoso ci sia.
