Hello Astrobinians!

I started this group to showcase imaging with the ASI2600MC Pro because I was surprised there wasn't already a group for it. This is not a new camera, but a solid workhorse that can create amazing imagery. This One Shot Color (OSC) cooled camera with an APS-C sized sensor takes the comparable DSLRs leaps farther with the integrated cooling system, dew heater, and easy integration with pretty much all capture and processing software. In terrestrial photography, a basic DSLR, in the hands of someone with moderate photographic skills, can create award winning images. Ours is a specialized skill and talent set, capturing our universe's history for science, art, and enjoyment. While monochrome cameras are capable of more "selective fine tuning", the OSC remains a powerful tool for your kit.
