A "splash screen" is what you see when you open an app and it's loading. I would like to have an astrophotograph with the AstroBin logo in the middle. How about a rule that will periodically determine what the splash image is, based on certain KPIs such as views or likes? (Unless it’s incompatible)

Unfortunately the splash screen needs to be static and built at compile time. It's probably possible to have a dynamic image, but the purpose of the splash screen is show for a second while the app loads, and adding the fetching of an image sort of defeats the point.
I could do a random image selected from a large pool, but this complicates this a lot especially from the point of view of supporting multiple devices, and that's probably not something I'm gonna have time to address.

Sorry about that, Salvatore! That’s the end of my submissions. As you can imagine, it’s hard to pick just one. Especially when allowing for the centered logo. Eddie is right. Wide field would look impressive without upstaging the artwork. Have you got a new logo? Would love to design a fresh one if you’d like to open up that can of worms!

Personally I think that AstroBin’s logo is pretty amateurish as I did it myself in a pinch back when I started 14 years ago. I would love to see if you got some ideas, perhaps without investing too much of your time. Thank you!
