Hello Salvatore and all. I love the new layout and features but I am wondering if anyone else is having a problem scrolling down on the individual image page, for example to read or answer comments. Or maybe I am missing the control button somewhere? Thanks, scott |

No issues for me. What sort of device are you having the issue on? I know scrolling while hovering over the image itself won't scroll the section to the right which contains info/comments/related images/etc.

Hey @wsg, sounds like it might a bug only affecting to some specific scenario. If nobody could actually scroll, I would've heard it. Can you describe the symptoms accurately and tell what browser you're using? Thanks! |

Thanks Brian, just on any single image with all the usual info on the right side of the page it seems like I should be able to scroll down to the comments but it does not. Sort of devise? Same devise on which the older platform of Astrobin worked perfectly. |

@wsg, it's important to me what kind of device this is in order to troubleshoot this. Can you please let me know the kind of device, the browser and version, and the screen resolution? If you have the option of running alternative browser for testing purposes, can you please tell me if the problem persists in those too? Thanks! |

Hi Salvatore. I use a bookmark with Firefox/ Google. When I open an image in my gallery the image is on the left with zoom and scroll and the information is on the right with all the usual things and it seems to want to scroll down to read more info and get to the comments etc. but does not as far as I can tell. If I pull the page out to the right a small scroll bar briefly appears but does not work. |

Thanks @wsg. When you say "Firefox / Google" do you mean that you could reproduce the issue both on Firefox and Google Chrome? |

A major problem like this happening in 3 different browsers only for you is incredibly odd! Can you please restart the computer and try again? Also: 1. does this happen on your images only, or other people's images too? 2. does it happen on images from the search page too? 3. does it happen if you open a private/incognito window so you're not signed in for that session? |

Oh and another question ![]() Did this start recently? In other words, did you have the new gallery experience before, without this problem? Or has it always been the case since you opted in? |

Maybe an antivirus program blocking some Javascript, @Salvatore Iovene ? Just a thought. Hard to diagnose remotely for sure.

It is strange, normal scrolling works in every situation, gallery page, home page, search, staging, equipment etc. just not on any selected individual image pages.

I can live with it if I'm the only one, obviously, as long as a button for the classic version exists so I can answer comments. ![]() |

Brian Poole: It has to be something like that, because it happens on 3 different browsers, so it must be something above them. And if it was a bug so common that it hit all 3 major browsers, others would be affected! I can live with it if I'm the only one, obviously, as long as a button for the classic version exists so I can answer comments. I really want to see this fixed, I'm sure something can be done! Do you think we could schedule a call with a remote session where I can take control of your computer to inspect how the code is behaving in your browser? |

Salvatore Iovene: That's my thought too. I'm sure a quick look at the browser's console will give you some solid clues! |

I'll keep fiddling with things on this end, I have not updated anything as basic as the browser since the computer was new, plus I can usually grab the scroll button on the side easily by sliding over. I will come back to this thread with any updates. Thanks for you help guys! scott |

The browser not being updated since 2023 would be a major issue. Not because this code wouldn't have worked in a 2023 browser, but because in my experience browser starts to hiccup very badly if you ignore the nudge to update. I would definitely try that! Also, from your last sentence, it seems like you can't scroll with the two finger gesture on the touchpad, or with a mouse wheel, but you can by using the scrollbar. Again this suggests something acting up at OS or browser level. I'd definitely recommend you upgrade! Let me know if I can do more, I'm always eager to make AstroBin better. |
