I find the Sky View window on an image to be very useful. I see that RA is sometimes in hrs/min, and sometimes in degrees. Is there a setting that I can set in order to have Sky View show RA in Hrs/min? Jim - |

Hi Jim, I'm not sure I follow. Nothing on AstroBin is labelled "Sky view". Can you send a screenshot please? |

Hi Jim, that's part of AstroBin's advanced plate-solving powered by PixInsight. You can learn more about plate-solving on AstroBin here: https://welcome.astrobin.com/features/astrometry-tools It's part of the AstroBin Ultimate subscription plan. You can compare the plans here: https://welcome.astrobin.com/compare-plans And see prices here: https://welcome.astrobin.com/pricing If you want, you can upgrade here: https://app.astrobin.com/subscriptions/ultimate If you do upgrade, you won't pay anything immediately, but only be charged with the difference at the end of the current billing period. Hope this helps! Salvatore |

Salvatore, Thanks for the explanation and subscription options. I may upgrade at some point; for now I will divide RA in degrees by 15 (in my head by approximation) to get approximate RA in decimal hrs. I am just looking for a rough sky location for an interesting image I view. I see now that the sky map shown will depend on that user's subscription level. CS Jim - |
