To the forum owner,

After you behaved inappropriately and closed threads, which amounts to censorship, I'll tell you one thing:

If you don't change your attitude toward free speech, more and more people will gradually leave you.

I'm going to establish a moratorium, meaning I won't upload any more pictures until further notice. I recommend this to anyone who is dissatisfied with this forum!

I want to clarify a few things for everyone’s benefit:


1. Free speech does not mean unlimited speech on private platforms.

AstroBin is privately owned and operated. Like any community, we have rules and moderation policies to ensure discussions stay civil, relevant, and constructive. You’re free to express concerns, but that doesn’t mean you’re entitled to do so repeatedly in ways that disrupt others’ experience.


2. Your posts have crossed that line.

We’ve received complaints from multiple members who feel your repeated, confrontational messages are making the forum less enjoyable. Constructive criticism is welcome, but bad faith, inflammatory, or repetitive posts are not.


3. This is your final warning.

If this behavior continues, your forum privileges will be suspended. This isn’t censorship, it’s basic community management.


Everyone here is passionate about astrophotography. Let’s keep the conversation focused on that.

This topic is now also closed as there is no need to discuss this.

I understand you are dissatisfied with the IOTD, and you have made this clear in several topics. Your opinions have been heard, we don't need more of the same.

As a community update, as Klaus ignored the final warning in my post above, by immediately making another provocative post, his account was suspended and the unused portion of his subscription was refunded.

This is the first time in 14 years I had to suspend an account due to inappropriate behavior, violation of the terms of service, and the community guidelines.
