This is in reference to my latest image:   https://app.astrobin.com/i/ngirra


I want to send it to my friends on BlueSky, but the thumbnail won't load.  I had the same issue submitting it to Reddit: no thumbnail.  Is there some kind of issue on Astrobin which I can fix?  I tried changing the thumbnail, but I'm still getting nothing.

I'm wondering if its something I'm doing (or not doing)...?

No, it isn't you it's AB. Salvatore is aware of the issue but so far it hasn't been fixed.

I don't think this the same problem that you reported to me a few days ago, Andrea. That was only affecting the ability of the revision crop tool to fetch the thumbnail, but all thumbnails for Amy's image seem to be present.

This might be a problem with the OpenGraph tags used to show thumbnail, title and description when sharing on third party services. I'll have a look ASAP!

@AmyWarble can you please see if this works for you now? I've improved the detection of the conditions necessary to send the visitor to the version of the website that statically renders the required OpenGraph tags.

Here you can see that it appears to work:

@Salvatore Iovene Hey, thanks for your attention to this.  It's working in bluesky but reddit is still broken.  I suspect that is because reddit has cached the response, but in any case, I consider this resolved.  Thank you very much.

It is very likely that they'd cache OpenGraph tags for a specific URL. You can try a different URL just for testing purposes if you want!
