When I open a chat string that that I have bee to before I used to have the option to go directly where I left off. I love this feature but it seems to have disappeared. Is there a setting someplace that I'm missing? I'd really like it back because it makes the forum here much more usable compared to places like CloudyNights.

Hi @Tony Gondola, looks like you're talking about this: The feature was not removed, but that notification only appears if you click on the topic from the list of topics: If you click on a notification that leads you to a direct post _within_ that topic, of you click on the right caret arrow that leads you to the latest post (also visible in the screenshot above, at the far right of each row), then that message will not appear. Hope this helps! Salvatore

That's just it, no matter how I get there I don't see it. It used to be that if I went to say, subscribed topics and clicked on a title I've been to before, I would get the prompt, now I don't.

Tony Gondola: That's just it, no matter how I get there I don't see it. It used to be that if I went to say, subscribed topics and clicked on a title I've been to before, I would get the prompt, now I don't. And do these topics that you are clicking actually have new posts since your last visit?

Five days have gone by and I still have the same problem, no ability to jump to the point in a thread where I left it even though I have participated in many discussions in the last 5 days. Any ideas Salvatore?

Hi @Tony Gondola, I'll put this on my list to investigate with high priority, tho at first inspection I can't see how this would happen because storing the information about the last post you've seen happens server side. I'll do a thorough code review and I'll come back to you to ask some questions or to test something! Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation!

looks like you're talking about this: I also no longer get this message when returning to a post I've been following. Been about two weeks now.

Hi guys, I'm trying, but I can't reproduce this, it looks like it should work correctly to me.
Can one of you come up with an exact reproduction path, so I know exactly what you clicked?
I can invite you to a test group so we can mess in a test topic there, if you like.

I'm happy to help test. Step by step is this. I click on the notification bell when it shows new messages or updates. I click "mark all as read", click the X to close the window. Click on forum, click on subscribed topics, click on a topic. That's when it brings up the thread and where I used to get the message to skip down to unread messages. Hope that helps.

I get these notifications just fine. Maybe it’s a browser thing? Have you guys tried multiple browsers to see if one is blocking these notifications somehow?

I'm not sure, but I think it started right after I opened someone's newly posted image that had the new format, and I think a notification came up asking if I wanted to switch to it, or keep using the classic version, I chose to keep using the classic. After that is when I think I stopped getting the notice posted above.
I'll try using a different browser and see what happens.

Alright folks, I fixed it (give it about an hour from now to be deployed to the servers).
BUT, given what the fix was, this should not have been working reliably literally EVER!
I know that sometimes there's a ghost in the machine and bugs are weird, but this must be one of the oddest cases I ever encountered!
