I sure would love to be able to click somewhere here and see everything John has written about (similar to being able to see his photos) |

Yeah I'd like some spot in my profile that lets me see my old forum posts.

AmyWarble: Yeah I'd like some spot in my profile that lets me see my old forum posts. +1 for this functionality both to see my own past posts as well as those of other users I am interested in.

I'm currently in the very process of redoing the forums UI, and I could add this.
The only thing I wonder is privacy. What is the reason why somebody wants to see what a person wrote?

I don't know about looking into other peoples' posts, but sometimes I really wish there was a search box in the Subscribed Topics

The only thing I wonder is privacy. What is the reason why somebody wants to see what a person wrote? There are multiple technical discussions I participated in which I want to refer to but become hard to find. If privacy is a concern, give users the ability to delete posts they do not want to have visible or maybe regret writing.

This is a public forum right? Users know that before the post publicly so I don't understand the privacy argument.
There are members here with greater expertise than I have. I always learn a lot by reading their posts.
For example, I'd like to read everything John has written over the years. There's a lot of knowledge there that is very difficult to find.
Also, See John's +1 for this feature.

Salvatore Iovene: The only thing I wonder is privacy. What is the reason why somebody wants to see what a person wrote? You could make it so that people can decide if it's available or not on their profile. (Private by default of course)

The only thing I wonder is privacy. What is the reason why somebody wants to see what a person wrote? Maybe have an option where each user can control whether their comments and posts can be viewed on their profile or not?

Also, See John's +1 for this feature. Yeah, I'm getting so old that I can barely remember all the stuff I've posted so I'd like to go back to find stuff that I've written too!! )) And as for privacy concerns, John's comment above is spot on. Everyone should know that this is a public forum and they shouldn't have any expectation of privacy. John

I came here to say that privacy shouldnt be an issue, it's a public forum afterall. I think the more ways you can search for information the better. A lot of nice improvements being worked into Abin over the last few months. Nice work Sal!
