Hi Sal,
Would it be possible for notification emails for subscribed threads to include the thread title in the email title?
Instead of "chris white replied in a topic to which you are subscribed", it could be "Chris White replied to topic Goodbye CloneStamp, Hello Blemish Blaster! Content Aware Healing Tool" or simpler "Topic Goodbye CloneStamp, Hello Blemish Blaster! Content Aware Healing Tool has received a reply."
I might get several dozen notifications a day and some topics I'm more interested in than others. If the thread title was in the email notification title it would be super helpful to not have to open each email to know where it's going to lead.
Thanks!

Sal, Quick followup. Unfortunately, on my mobile device this change doesnt have the effect I was hoping for. There are title length limitations for my display, and the thread title is too far to the right of the email notification. So in my case (using the android email app) i still need to open the email to see which thread it's about. As a followup, would it be possible to get the title of the thread at the beginning of the email subject? Something like "new reply to xxxxxxx topic" or "Salvatore iovene replied to xxxxxxx.... " Sorry! |

Hi Chris, thanks for letting me know. I'll have the topic title appear on the second line, called the "pre-header". https://github.com/astrobin/astrobin/pull/3268/filesDoing this for most of the emails as I'm at it. Salvatore
