Recently I have been having sporadic issues during Polar Alignment in the AA+. It will often see XXX number of stars but fail to solve and move on. If I cancel and retry sometimes it will carry on and sometimes not. Change exposure try again, sometimes it solves and sometimes it will run to the timeout unless I cancel. I have checked, but not replaced the relevant cables, and I and running on mains power. It has gotten to the point a few times where I have to send the AM5 back Home and start again. Anyone else run into this sort of issue? Thanks. |

I might have gotten similar issues sometimes, though mine are related to “failed exposure.” When my PA with the AA+ does not load, and I stop PA, go to preview, try an exposure, it often gives me failed exposure. I think my issue is with not enough power to the camera (I’m using one cheap power adaptor for AA+ and have everything powered through the AA+). I’m waiting for delivery of an additional (higher grade) 12V 5A adaptor to split up the power supply. perhaps you have the same issue. |

I'll agree with @Niels_L about the power. My ASIAIR was behaving very weirdly very often, but all problems were solved by upgrading the power input and using separate cables for every device (camera, AIR, etc.) If I ran into a problem like yours, I started checking the power input (12V/5A), and it was always just way lower than recommended. So if there isn't another obvious solution, you should give that a try. Johannes |

Thanks for the input. I sort of discounted power issues because I am using ASI’s power supply and feeding it from the house main. I will check the power input and cables again.
