I noticed severe horizontal banding from my ASI2600MM for the first time in 6 years.

Here is the setup:

In a permanent observatory and direct power from the house which supports both an ASI2600MM on a C11 and an ASI6200MM on a Tak which is piggybacked on the C11.  Power runs from source (house) through a Kendrick 110/120 VAC, 25 A power supply to each camera.  This arrangement has worked for 6 years.

What I tried:
  • I turned on the ASI6200MM which is on the Tak and no banding occurred.
  • I tested for damaged USB cables on the ASI2600MM by replacing with new ones, but the banding issue persisted.
  • I removed the ASI2600MM and replaced it with an ASI2600MC, using the same cables (also had dew heater on as always) that have been used with the ASI2600MM, and the issue resolved itself.

So, it appears something is wrong with the electronics within the ASI2600MM itself.  

Any other thoughts as to what could be causing this?

The only time something similar to it ever happened to me I had to replace the motherboard.

Thanks for the input.  I have heard of a number of folks replacing the 2600 motherboard for various issues.  I'll reach out to ZWO and see what they say.

Could it be a communication issue with the camera? Maybe a bad USB cable?
