Hi everybody, I got a problem with the asi2600mc pro. All over a sudden it only gets recognized by westbridge. I tried with all programs, changed cables, laptops, nothing helps. Zwo forum says it needs a driver for westbridge, which I can't find. somebody had the same expierence and if, how did you resolve? thank you

There is no program called "westbridge" that uses the camera as an imaging device. WestBridge device name seen in Windows Device Manager is a Cyprus Semiconductors boot loader chip as far as I understand it. Which may mean that device drivers got corrupted or the boot loader itself got corrupted. Is it Win10 or win11 (or what else) you are using?

I first want to apologize for the incorrect wording. I just had changed to windows 11. It did work for two sessions, then it was not recognized any more.

Win 10 is your best friend then. Beside that, try uploading the VC redistributables as Win 11 does not automatically do it (it expects the device drivers to do that, afaik). It doesn't hurt either. Obviously try re-loading the drivers for the camera, you never know. If it all fails use the ASCOM drivers. What program are you using to control the camera, btw?

I use APT as acquisition program. Since I have had windows 11 put on the pc, I wouldn't know how to get back to windows10. As you already understood, I 'm not very practical with pcs. Where do I find the VC redistributables?

Can you see the camera with the ASI software/tools? If yes, I'd suggest you ignore it for the moment being and in the second instance remove the failed driver from the system,

…unless you find a driver that fixes it.

Looks like Windows needs the latest Intel Chipset drivers. Provided it's an Intel board. https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005533/software/chipset-software.html |

Be sure to download the drivers that Ivo provides. I use the 2600mc and apt as well on both win 10 and win 11. cheers!
