Dear AstroBinners,

If I run the cooler at -25 below ambient - how long will a 10.000mAh power bank last on a 2600 camera?

My ASI2600 (when cooling at -25C) + ASIAir use ~13W. If you do the math with these values you should arrive between 3.5-4h of use on your 10000mAh power bank.

Just a word of caution, the ASI2600 camera needs 12V/3A to run properly. Most powerbanks (if not all) have 2A outputs so make sure your power bank has the right specs

Tristan makes a good point. Does your power bank support 12V  output? You cannot power it with USB. Requires a 12V 5.5x2.1 connector.

The Camera and Asiair require 12V (not 5V!) and 3A, so you actually require 12* 3 (camera) = 36 Watt for the camera alone at peaks (e.g., when the cooling starts and is at 100%). I'm not sure about the Asiair, but as it's an ARM-based mini computer, I would say around 1A, so 12 * 1 = 12 Watt.

Yes, my power bank supports the 2600. Ive tested it.

On a side note, Ive been experimenting with mounting options for the camera.

I use a small lens with it, therefore the camera is the main attaching point, and I realized that I have old 90mm rings from some telescope.

How lethal does that look? Is it a good idea? Should I buy the "official ZWO ring system" or stick with this DIY stuff?

I have the Celestron Powertank, the black one with 2100mAh. I power everything with it, the 2600mc pro, the skywatcher GTi Mount, the asi air, the guidecam. it lasts me nearly the whole night. I do have a small setup though but it works really well. I cool my camera down to -10°c

Curious how your power bank can provide the required 12V/3A (36W) needed for the ASI2600MC ?
Does your power bank have a 12V output. If it does, then please look at the specs to see if indeed it's a 10,000mAh at 12V or at 5V. If you see a Wh (Watt-hour) value that would be a better indicator (e.g. 50Wh)

Once you know the actual Ah @12V, you can do a rough calculation but it all depends on the ambient temperature. The larger the difference between the desired cooling -and ambient temperature the more power you'll consume. (e.g. summer time) … And if this delta is too large, you'll not even reach -25C.

Is there a reason you want to use Tc = -25C ?

10,000mAh (5V) = 10Ah or 50Wh, thus in theory it can provide a continuous 50W for 1 hour ( P = U x I ).
Hence in theory your 50Wh power bank with a required 36W (worse case) camera will be drained in 1h23m (50Wh / 36W)
This is worse case, when the cooler runs at 100% all the time. Once Tc is reached, the cooler throttles down and consumes less power. 

Also keep in mind  that your power bank has a maximum power drain value. e.g. 3A at 5V (15W) continuous. Hence if this value is lower than the required 36W the cooler needs a longer time to get to Tc because it cannot run at 100% and it may even be possible that it cannot reach Tc.

So you can see it's all theory. The best approach is that you do a rough calculation and then test your setup. This gives you an idea before you go stargazing smile

!! The power requirements of any equipment is not to be taken lightly. Most of electrical problems are caused by the choice of the power supply !!

If that is the case it last for 3-3.5 hours operating ONLY the asi 2600mc pro, If you add anything else, time will be shorter.
Why I stated 1 and 2? well because these cameras are sensitive to power amperage to be able to image and DOWNLOAD.

In addition
, the 10.000mAh power bank must be not too old that it can't give the 10.000mAh.
Batteries and power banks will get down to almost 70-80% of the charging capacity depends on spec. and age.
In the spec. you can find how much do you really get from a 10,000 mAh ?
e.g: If stated 90% efficiency you well not get the whole 10,000 you will get 9,000 mAH
Regarding the age.. you will also find in the spec. how much does the charging capacity will decrease with relation of numbers of charge/discharge (Cycles).

So, away from this mess..,
The best way to know exact answer, is testing one all night imaging session and see how long does it last.

One side note:
Is there a reason you want -25 ?
-10 or -15 will give you nearly same results.

I suppose for —25 degree difference camera will rich the max  power ( depends very much on ambient temerature ).
The normal electrical tension for ASI 2600 is 12 V , the maxim  curent cosumption is about 3.5A.
Then,if power bank output is 12 V,
10Ah: 3.5A= about3 h( Between 2&2.8 h)
If powerbank output is 5 V, I think  you should not use it for this camera

I use Talent Cell Batteries for all my cameras. I’ve had excellent luck with them over the years. I have 2 of these and on my 2600mc pro it powers the EFW, EAF, and my 120mini. In the summer I’m getting in the neighborhood of 10-12hrs depending on how hard it has to cool. In the winter time I’ll go 3 nights easy without having it recharge it.

I get mine from Amazon and there are many different cords that’s available as well. Extensions, adapters, pigtails etc…

BTW, I tend to agree with @Ali Alhawas about -25. I only run mine at -5 in the summer and in the winter -10, however that as up to you I guess. I don’t like to stress the cooling system any more then I have to.

Some info for you.  I use both a power bank and a iPad battery backup.  With My iPad battery I power my dew heaters as it's only 5v not the 12v needed for the camera or my ASIair.  I have a EF also.  I was good on power through the ASIair till I added an EF then the drop was to much .  I was getting voltage drops ~ 1-2 hrs into shooting.  I run a separate cable now for the 2600 and no issues.   I also got some advice from locals to raise my temp to 32 or 0C.  It's hot and humid here in VA in the summer and the camera would work really hard to maintain that temp.  As long as you are below the dew point you should be good.   FY last night for me it was 78 at 11 when I was shooting .

It's even a bit worse. Most powerbanks show capacity @ 3.6V. So a 10,000mAh would be 36Wh. 
Camera cooler and dew bands are by far the most consuming parts, so yes, it would be good to set them to whatever setting is really needed. And an ASI2600 does not have to go much below 0°. A camera at 100% cooling does not run very long on a 10,000mAh bank.

Btw, to get 12V out of a regular PowerDelivery Powerbank, you need to use a trigger-cable (except for the Talentcell banks, they have a dedicated 12V output). Unfortunately 12V is not a standard in PowerDelivery specifications (9V and 15V are). So you're dependent on whether the manufacturer supports 12V. I found that my Anker 737 does not do so, but my GoalZero Sherpa 100PD does.....

Power Delivery is a great way to power your rig, as it provides a very stable voltage, which is not always the case with 12V powerbanks.
