When trying to update the Cloudwatcher driver (1.0 to 1.0.4),  although everything seems to go correctly the new driver is not installed. I’ve tried uninstalling the current driver and then installing the new one with no success. I must be doing something wrong.

Suggestions?

Hi as far as I understand the way it works, NINA is just getting the "unsafe" situation cloudwatcher THROUGH ASCOM. NINA doen't interact with cloudwatcher directly and the driver of cloudwatcher is installed independently of NINA. In my opinion the first check would be : was is working properly before (version 1.0), as a standalone? was it possible for NINA to "see" cloudwatcher and use it to shut down a session? If it works then I would first try to reestablish the same conditions with the new driver and as far as I understand first diagnose why the driver installation fails before looking for anything else with NINA. If you succeed in this and still have a problem with NINA, maybe update NINA to the very last version and also update your OS with the very last version of .net platform. Hope this helps, (at least a bit ;-)  CS Frédéric

Indeed, not sure why this is thought to be a NINA issue.  The driver is provided by Cloudwather's vendor.  If you can't install it, I would contact them for assistance. There are also a lot of tools at the ASCOM site itself to look at profiles and drivers and such if you want to check there.  If I've misunderstood and there's some NINA aspect to this, please elaborate.

Hi Folks. Yes, I believe you’re correct. The problem must be in Cloudwatcher not N.I.N.A. Thanks for pointing that out to me.
