Hi, I'm using NINA with the ASI2600MC remotely and would like the $$TARGETNAME$$ to be included in the FIT filename. When I place $$TARGETNAME$$ in the filename options, and took an image of M13, it shows up as "$$TARGETNAME$$" rather than "M13". At my home setup using ASIAIR and the same exact camera, the filename does show the actual object being imaged. How can I get the filename in NINA to do the same? I open "Options-Imaging" and see where to do it but it doesn't work. Should I put $$TARGETNAME$$ in a different part of the filename path? Thank you, Jerry |

In NINA just underneath it should show a pattern preview, does it show correctly in there? I'm assuming it will be like mine and show M33 in the pattern preview. Also, it is case sensitive, so all caps if that's not how you have it in NINA. Could you copy paste what's in your image file pattern and whats in your pattern preview? |

Jerry Gerber:Quinn Groessl: Good to know it's resolved. A way you can avoid that is by double clicking the option you want in the list below. Also another thing that isn't really shown anywhere is that you can make folders using "//" between instructions. For example, if I set it like this: $$TARGETNAME$$//$$DATEMINUS12$$//$$IMAGETYPE$$//$$FILTER$$//$$EXPOSURETIME$$s_$$FRAMENR$$ The output is: M33 › 2015-12-31 › LIGHT › L › 10.21s_0001 where each of the > symbols means it's a folder. |
