Last night I went out to take a picture of the full moon with my telescope and brought the az gti mount, but when I plugged in my mount to a power bank ( i checked th output it was 120v) using a 12v 1A chord, it started malfunctioning and when I opened the synscan app and tried to connect it, it wouldn't move at all and the screen that showed how much angular distance was remaining went extremely fast even though it wasn't moving. after that happened I tried just unplugging it and using the batteries but the same thing happened. I hope all that happened was I blue a fuse and no internal circuitry got damaged.

Maybe it's just a typo, I hope that the power bank was actually 12v, not really 120v. If you powered it with 120v (10x more than expected) you may have blown the whole board. Did you see or smell smoke? I don't remember seeing any fuse on the inside Hope I got it wrong.

So there was no smoke, but I feel that it’s weird that a power bank would blow up the circuit in a as gti mount considering the most sockets are about the same, but once you add an adapter with a reducer it should work fine.

Can you give us some details on the brand/model of power bank? Same about the chord Without these information it's impossible to understand.
Are you sure that the "12v 1A chord" has a reducer inside? It may just be the nominal voltage (i.e. what you are suppose to connect it to)
Also, 120v seems very weird to me for a power bank. Was it a USB power bank or something more sophisticated like a power station?
Have you tried to measure the voltage coming out from the cord? Without connecting it to the azgti.

Sorry but I really cannot understand what you did. Is it this one? https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Zu9sCfQdL._AC_UF350,350_QL80_.jpgI can see 4 usb, 3x12v and 2 AC outputs. Which output did you connect the cable to? Can you share a picture of the cable? Have you tried to measure the voltage coming out from the cord? Without connecting it to the azgti
