I am not certain how many people on the Astrobin forum monitor YouTube videos- so I am posting this here for better coverage.

I believe I just got pigeonholed by the moderator.
Although the technique is demonstrated in PixInsight…. the IDEA is not specific to the software. That is what makes it generally applicable.
Moderator- can you please justify your adjustment?

I personally watched this video and I do plan to try this method. I think some of the scripts whose use is described here definitely increase the power of color management in PixInsight which I felt has been a weakness of the tool.

@Adam Block I watched your video and found it incredibly insightful and an enjoyable way to process my narrowband images. I processed some recent data of mine using the technique you highlighted, and also added some RGB data to the final version.

Yes, excellent! I don't have any techniques named after to me… but I wish I did (would help me get the word out about my content). Anything you can do to shout out you found the technique helpful (on FB, AB…etc) would be most welcomed.

Adding a golden SII to HOO has been my favorite combination for years now, nice to see that it's almost as easy to do in PI now as it has been in photoshop.

Well I'm going to have to try this out. Incidentally, I think you just taught me how to stretch my very bright M27 HOO data and save the core.
