And don’t forget the corrector. I did. After about 6 years I was trying to figure out some artifact I was seeing and it turned out to be on the corrector. I then realized I’d never cleaned it. I had the staff do it that time on the 14 but I’ve since done it on the 17 and you just unscrew the baffle and the corrector slides out. I would be careful to return it to the same rotation.

Kevin Morefield: Good point. All you really have to do is to remove the baffle and just clean the front surface without removing the whole assembly. That front surface is all that should be getting dirty over time. John |
