Recently downloaded the new version of Siril 1.4 on Macbook ( Intel i5 Processor based) and am happy that most of the features I tried are working very well. The latest version has a lot of significant enhancement on various features and there are some new ones which I am yet to learn and follow. The UI is also slightly modified and many features are grouped differently. One good thing in this version is the inbuilt interface to Graxpert. It is still based on the existing stable release of Graxpert (Does not support deconvolution), but both Background extraction and Denoising work very well. Also some good in built Siril scripts for OSC and Mono processing work flawlessly. For the 1st time also got the Starnet++ integrated with Siril work well and was able to remove stars from the objects smoothly. Overall am very happy with the new 1.4 release and want to thank Team Siril for this update !! |

I agree, the new release is wonderful. The ability to use Python scripts will really open up a lot of possibilities. For me, I think the best new features are SPCC, Curves, Astrometric Mosaics and real drizzle.
