They’re going to be extremely small in frame and not look very good. I’d be surprised if many people are spending any time on planetary with that set up. That’s not at all what it’s made for.

Understood. That’s why I was asking the question. I was concerned that multi tasking between deep space and planetary might be out of the question.

Focal length is about a fifth of what the aperture could handle with the camera in it, so any planetary image you will take with it will be so small its not even worth the trouble. For example Jupiter will be somewhere around 30 pixels in diameter. So in conclusion, this system is not workable with planetary imaging which is why you dont see images of this type with it. |

I would be most interested in seeing any planetary photos, except the moon, acquired by a stock Celestron Origin. Thank you. You cannot capture a good picture of planets with this scope. A focal length of only around 330 would not be able to capture any surface detail on any planets. You could probably see jupiter's moons, but that's about it besides possibly picking up the brightness of planets. |
