Hello and welcome! I'd like to ask if anyone is using Affinity Photo instead of Adobe Photoshop because it's difficult to get. I'm not sure why everyone has to use this software, but that's fine. Does anyone know how to make fine adjustments for processing galaxy images in Affinity Photo, such as enhancing contrast and so on? Also, is it okay to use Affinity Photo? I ask this because I have a strange feeling that it's affecting the size of the Astro images I processed in it.

Sure, I use Affinity - not Photoshop. That said, I do most of the heavy lifting in Astro Pixel Processor (APP) starting with stacking, removing gradients/vignetting/light pollution, and more. Then through PixInsight for NoiseX and BlurX, and Affinity last to tweak the image to taste. Re Affinity, James Ritter has numerous video clips on Youtube, it is well worth googling them and watching. He also provided a library of macros, some of which are quite useful. |
