Hello Moon friends,

An interesting way to illustrate the libration of the Moon is a morphed 3D-Animation of a single Moon area.
You only need two pictures of the same area at different positions of libration and a Morph-Software like FantaMorph.
It's easier- but not necessary - to take two images which made with the same telescope and camera. Otherwise you must calibrated the size and the position first.
Here is my first try: the crater Clavius on 28. February 2015 for the first picture and on 3. April 2020 for the second:

I hope youlike it.

Well done Henning. Which software did you use for the 3D rendition?

Hi Rich,
It's a GIF-animation created with Fantamorph5.

An alternative software is PaintStar. The modul Morph Maker is good to test and try. And the best: It's free. smile
