Everything in PI works like Magic when you calibrate from AtoZ starting with WBPP. I used to think otherwise. This folder naming process works much better with different sets of frames.

I was going back and forth with Adam telling him I though that more people would use PI if the calibration process was easier than it was, and he kept telling me that it was. It kept assigning darks to the wrong lights or my flats wouldn't work and just couldn't get it too work. Manually worked fine. After all the back and forth this import process was the only missing piece I needed to know and BINGO - it was easier than I was suggesting it should be to him.

Create these Folders in a parent folder (Unique first word that cannot be found in any filename or folder within the parent folder. UNDERSCORE something different for each, doesn't matter)
BodeHood_SetA (add all darks, lights, flats and dark flats for this set)
BodeHood_SetB (add all darks, lights, flats and dark flats for this set)
BodeHood_SetC (add all darks, lights, flats and dark flats for this set)

In WBPP add BodeHood or whatever the first word of all those folders is under Grouping KWs and add it.

Then click the Directory button at the bottom of any of the tabs on the left and select the parent folder from above. Your files should then import and be grouped properly.

Check everything is hunky dory and change the Exposure tolerance on the post Calibration tab to 500, and leave it there. Having

Unfortunately there isn't much I can see from a screenshot of the screen other that the light frames you're trying to add have quite different backgrounds. What I meant with snapshots is either screen grabs of the 3 actual frames (on at the time) and the resultant sum or the 4 jpeg files of the same, obviously stretched.

*** I will try share the 3 files so that you can merge them for me***

They need to be registered to the same file. I just checked the pipeline tab and they would have gotten registered separately and LN. Do you have the Debayer files in the output folder? You should start from there and I can walk you through completing the rest of the process manually. It is very simple. Your final image will be better and a lot easier to process than if you don'e.

*** How do I do all that, like registering them to the same file? First time really im using PixInsight for stacking ***

You can use WBPP to combine all of the data into a single masterlight.

I have also struggled combining several nights of data in WBPP, but setting up the keywords is the "key".

I cannot explain it as well as these guys can. Honestly, I really don't do it often and would have to consult online resources to guide me through when I combine multiple nights of data again. But, it definitely works. Have you checked out these Youtube video's?

Adam Block is a fantastic resource. He is very detailed and it might take a bit longer to go through his procedure, but you might be surprised how "extra" things that you can learn on the way besides the main topic.

This might help.

Also, this Youtube video by Shawn (Visible Dark) is also very good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyuJyHk0P2g

Dustin @Dustin Gazz explains it very well.

Do not give up on WBPP yet. All of the data can be combined in WBPP to yield a single masterlight. It's all in the keywords.

I recommend that when you have success, make some notes for the next time.

Good luck!

Knowing the feeling and seeing the results after my first successful bout with WBPP, which could have only happened with the advice from others, I am more than happy to help others if I can. With all the different methods in PI to calibrate and integrate subs, and the varied and sometimes contradicting uses of tools found from people on line, it ends up seeming a lot more complicated that it really is. Unfortunately, that scares many people off thinking it's too difficult to use, because they never get to the point to see that PI Processes do all the tedious work for you if you use WBPP.  I was using DSS stacked images because I kept failing with WBPP but then didn't seem to be getting the same results from the Processes I saw other getting at each step. I almost bought another de-noise tool after buying NoiseX and was using xgradient or something for ABE. When I processed that first image out of WBPP, it was like magic, Processes worked as intended. Below is that image with every step taken using defaults on everything but HT. Of course I do more from this point as this is not my final image, but this image is all PI's doing. All I did was collect the data and enter it correctly. I'll help anyone get to this stage; they'll figure the rest out on their own, I am sure of it. Cheers - "Dustin"

*** Thanks again Dustin 😁***

You're welcome Abdul. Reach out when you have any questions about the tool. I am a recent adopter myself, but I've found that experienced that are just as willing to help can speak a different language sometimes, because I don't understand what they are saying half the time. I am sure that most of the issues you do run into getting started are issues that I had to overcome too, so feel free. Glad this worked out for you and enjoy the rest of them. - "Dustin"
