Hi folks, I'm looking to buy a new smart fitness tracking watch. I'm wondering if anybody has a recommendation for one that has astrophotography helpful capabilities (I'm thinking of weather, compass, North star alignment etc.)?

I own Apple Watch and they have solar dial watch face that shows the rough altitude of the sun on the sky and most importantly the times of nautical, astronomical dusks and night. It's my primary watch face.

Garmin's Fenix might be a possibility with its add-on watch faces and apps.

Hi Paul, I also use an Apple watch in the evening regardless if I’m imaging or just relaxing. I like an automatic movement watch during the daytime and the Apple is nice in the evening when it’s illuminated face comes in handy. The multiple alarms in vibration mode comes in very handy when there is s lot going on. Probably not much help as I really don’t use any astro-related functions such as the compass, but it works well. The solar dial watch face that Maxim mentions is pretty cool! I enjoyed looking at your fine image collection! |
