That is what I did, see the first post.
Dan He mean flats calibration and star alignment before making the GIF as they don't look flat corrected right now with the brighter center. Would see the cloud much better. I agree too. You don't capture this every day. It's unique and it look nice.

This is really neat and you were very lucky to catch it! I would take the advice to calibrate and in addition to making a gif, I would also integrate the three or four frames by themselves to make a nice single image showing all the action. Could be really nice, especially if you were using a OSC camera and captured some color!
Of course for everyone else who was imaging this DSO object, unless you were located close to the OP, it won't be in your FOV. These events happen relatively close to the earth's surface.

Due to the hot pixels and uneven field I feel processing them kind of make them worse than what you already got. Your result still look very cool though!
