While perusing my blinked data from a couple of nights ago I noticed an interesting occurrence, a meteor than formed an interesting cloud.
This was part of the luminance data and the action lasted about 180 seconds.

You should calibrate and process these subs as a GIF. Would be neat smile

He mean flats calibration and star alignment before making the GIF as they don't look flat corrected right now with the brighter center. Would see the cloud much better.

I agree too. You don't capture this every day. It's unique and it look nice.

Sorry Jan I misunderstood. I will repost after calibration and try to make the cloud more visible.

OMG. I was imaging this object these past days also… Could you share the date & time of the sub to check if I have it too?

Same here. Did wide field and closeups over the last few days. Need to go through my subs to see if I caught something.

Dan,  Are you sure this wasn't Tim's red laser?

This is really neat and you were very lucky to catch it!  I would take the advice to calibrate and in addition to making a gif, I would also integrate the three or four frames by themselves to make a nice single image showing all the action.  Could be really nice, especially if you were using a OSC camera and captured some color!

Of course for everyone else who was imaging this DSO object, unless you were located close to the OP, it won't be in your FOV.  These events happen relatively close to the earth's surface.

LOL. Could be, if he pointed that thing at a meteoroid it would surely turn into a meteor.

The images were captured at 23:33 EST, from central New England.
If anyone is interested in trying their hand at a gif I've put the files here,

I gave it a go, but as long as the individual subs are not calibrated with flats and darks it doesn't improve a whole lot. Due to the hot pixels and uneven field I feel processing them kind of make them worse than what you already got.

Your result still look very cool though!
