Hey everyone, Some of you have recently been viewing the conjunction of Ceres and M100. I find these events fascinating and was wondering how you all stay informed about them? Is there a database of some sort somewhere? Thanks for your guidance and clear skies every night! Mike |

Hi @CCDMike , I must admit, this Ceres transition over M100 took me by surprise as well, but I found quite a few mentions of it in earlier announcements in multiple sources such as [1-3] after the fact: [1] https://universe2go.com/en/infographic-astronomy-highlights-in-spring-2023/ [2] https://astronomy.com/magazine/sky-this-month/2023/03/sky-this-month-march-2023 [3] https://skyandtelescope.org/astronomy-news/observing-news/this-weeks-sky-at-a-glance-march-24-april-2/ Too bad I managed to miss them all ![]() Cheers, Alex. |

Hi @Alexandr Zaytsev Of course you are right. These "major events" are indeed published in sky previews in relevant media. However, I am looking for a source that calculates or lists all events, including smaller asteroids and other DSOs (e.g. the NGC etc.). Best regards Mike |
