- Tons of advertisement.
- Claim to have had success in 2023, but both the Facebook page [[url]https://www.facebook.com/share/ayiQqgVnw3g9nU2r/?mibextid=qi2Omg] and the website [astrophotographyprize.com] are recently created (early July 2024 by inspecting FB Transparency and Whois).
- Sponsors such as AstroBin or Stellarvue do not refer to the contest on their websites.
- There is a 30-160 AUD participation fee ...

Real, commercial or scam? What do you think?

Hi @Jaime Zapata ,

yes, this is legit. I did sponsor it and I’ve been in touch with @Andy 01 about it, and he’s been on the IOTD team for several years and I trust him.

BTW there are ads in astrobin about this, but you would not see them if you opted out of ads.

We had our first online critique session via Zoom yesterday. @Wolfgang Promper@Marco Lorenzi and APP landscape judge Paul Hoelen offered valuable insights into the images submitted. The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive, and it was amazing to link Astrophotographers from Europe, the USA, Asia and Australia on the call.

I'm happy to answer any questions here that entrants may have.
