Hi everyone,

Continuing the series of 'Has anyone imaged ... Ha region' posts, I was scrolling around the Finkbeiner survey in Telescopius an found yet another interesting, faint Ha region. This one appears to be a large (≈5°) bubble roughly centered around the planetary nebula Abell 36 (see image 1), not far from the Spica Nebula mentioned in an earlier post. Interestingly, while very faint on the Finkbeiner survey, the nebula does seem to correspond to a similar structure visible in DSS2 (see image 2). If I had to guess, if this is a real structure, it could be similar to the haloes discovered around other PNs (for example, this one), but I'm not really sure.

So, has anyone ever imaged this object, or have any idea what this object is? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Clear Skies,

The0s
