It seems that we have a new comet gracing our skies this year, following the departure of the 2023 A3 Atlas. The new arrival is the 2024 G3 Atlas, a non-periodic comet. Predictions indicate that this comet is already visible, with a negative magnitude, and will reach its perihelion and closest approach to Earth tomorrow. However, there is a significant concern: it is a grazer comet, meaning it is dangerously close to the sun and may disintegrate. Additionally, it is only visible in the Southern Hemisphere. Has anyone spotted this comet yet, or is there no chance of seeing it?
