Hi,

I would like to capture the beautiful dust around Polaris.
I'll be using my TakFS-60CB with the 0,72x reducer.
The camera is an IMX571 mono, and the mount is an AM5N.
Guiding is done via a 50mm guidescope and an ASI120MM.
The software I’m using is NINA.

I've read multiple times that guiding can be problematic when imaging around Polaris.
So far, I’ve learned that very precise polar alignment is crucial.
Is there anything else I should keep in mind?

I would really appreciate any tips!

Best regards,
Brian

Nothing special in my experience.  I just guided and got perfect stars.  https://www.astrobin.com/48fkid/D/?nc=&nce=

Hopefully your experience is the same.  :-)

I haven't had any problems working near the NCP. I would try and get your PA as close as you can but otherwise, go for it.
