Hello and welcome! I would like to ask everyone who uses astrophotography software to stack their Seastar Mosaic images. Is there a way to complete or fill out a mosaic image that has missing parts that the Seastar couldn't process while creating the stacked image? I have a stacked mosaic image of the Virgo Cluster, but at the top, two galaxies could not be processed. However, I have these galaxies in a different stacked image. Can we somehow fill in or create a complete mosaic image using this additional data where these two deep sky objects are missing?

if you want, I could probably do it for you with Pixinsight

I don't know how to use Siril for this, unfortunately, so I can't tell you how to do it with Siril

I can't show them right away.
But sure, just give me your email then I can send them. In Astrobin, I can't upload them cause I'm afraid they are have big size, which cannot be uploaded.

Naztronomy put out a video (https://youtu.be/1JV-UPuzZoY?si=aOks003WufqEO0Xr) to do SeeStar mosaic stacking in PixInsight starting with the subs for future reference. It involves generating a star field with the size of the image you want to create and using it as a reference frame for registration. You have to make sure you create a reference frame the size of the mosaic you want to cover. Have personally used the technique successfully in PixInsight 1.8x. I think he mentioned he was going to go off and do the same for Siril but have not searched for it since I use PixInsight.
